It’s been a while, but one half of “Amarni” is back on the road – Shalini here (in case you can’t tell by my more casual and enthusiastic writing style!) This Summer I’m visiting parts of Europe, and typically will have 1 or 2 free evenings to explore the places I’m going to. Essentially, there is no better time to revive this blog!
Let’s kick of with Malaga, the capital of Analucia. My previous visits normally end up immediately heading to Marbella, but not this time. So with two free evenings, here is what I would recommend doing:
Evening 1 (Beach):
Take a beach-side walk along the Paseo Maritmo to Pedregalejo, a small fisherman town. Soak in the sun, check-out some of the beach-bars and eventually grab a lovely sea-food dinner watching the sunset with a glass of rose. I would personally recommend El Balneario – Baños del Carmen for good food and vibes.
Evening 2 (Old Town):
Time to build up an appetite by checking out the main highlights of the old town. I started by walking up (a very small) hill to Alcazaba – an Arabic fort with views of the city. Really close to that you’ve got Malaga Cathedral. Around this area there are so many small boutiques selling really cute things, amazing tapas restaurants and lively rooftop bars. I’d recommend either Casa Lola or El Pimpi in the main square!
